Treasured memories
Thank you to all the supporters of Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal for giving our family a respite break at Shorefield Country Park in Milford on Sea.
Sadly, for our son, this is the 2nd time he is fighting childhood cancer. He relapsed last year and has recently completed 6 months of intensive chemotherapy. This was such a challenging time as he was very poorly with treatment, staying a lot of time in hospital.
This is the first respite we’ve had since that time. The first time we’ve been able to be together as a family and have some fun!
And fun we did have! We especially enjoyed the park entertainment, with Dad winning best Dad dancer and the music quiz! We also enjoyed the local area and a trip to Bucklers Hard. The lodge was beautiful, so spacious and well equipped, with lots of great family games.
Our son still has a long road ahead, with a further 18 months of maintenance chemotherapy.
Again, a huge thank you from us all for giving us this wonderful opportunity to relax.
