Reenie’s Memory Xmas Tree

17th February 2025

Christmas 2024 the Marvell family invited everyone to take part in their Memory Christmas Tree for the 4th year.

Donations could be made, placing a decoration on their very special Christmas tree for an equally very special little girl called Reenie.

Reenie passed away to cancer on Boxing Day 2020 and she joined her Mum who sadly passed away in 2017.

Reenie’s wish was to help others who are battling cancer or are terminally ill to make memories just like the Marvell family were able to.

The tree lights were switched on in December and were on every evening from 3pm until 10pm.

Since the first year, all the decorations were placed on Reenie’s tree from the top to bottom and little messages left too.

The tree fundraiser, was also supported by  Ely Toy Shop, Fen Farm Supplies – Witcham, Bennett’s Car Parts in Ely and Midway Garage in Witchford who also have all kindly placed charity boxes in their shops

This wonderful idea and spectacular tree raised a whopping £1010.26
